blogtoberfest day 9

After such a big event yesterday that occurred in my study, the fun continued last night at Perle 8's, a wee craft group at Amitie. A dangerous combination, I tell ya!I was surrounded bu goodness- good people, good chat, good fabric.....

I finally learnt 'knot hiding' from the quilter extraordinaire

finally met up with this girl and admired Caleb's quilt

checked out the knitting girls

and enjoyed the company of many.

I have started the hand quilting on Jai's quilt, and love the results

And of course helped out my overstocked house with more goodies- a great read, my first Liberty fabrics (eek!) and Perle 8 thread- handpicked my celebrity colour picker Fi.

Tomorrow sees me again at the Yarraville market- for the next few months it will be run over 2 days! Yep, 2 days of handmade goodness. I'll be under a Deadwood quilt hand quilting haha. Come and say hi!

my Creative Space (day 8)

Woohoo, it's done! No creativity to speak of this week, besides a few cushions and yo-yo's, today was all about the study!!

Organisation is my middle name (haha). No, they aren't alphabetised yet, but soon will be (there's a little bit of OCD in all of us).

and old cup has passed the baton to new cup, who does hold a nice cup a tea.

Day 7- giveaway time!

OK, as promised the other day, it's finally here! (thanks for waiting so patiently!)

A pile of books! Classics, useful and vintage, these I have doubled up on and I need to make room!

Also- a custom made something! You can flick bag through the blog, or ask for something else- except for quilts, I will pretty much try anything. Happy to send photos of patterns etc. to help you decide.

Day 6 (on Day 7)

Remember my big cleanup a while ago? No? Here it is.

his is what it is like months later (well, technically 6 weeks, but feels like months). SO I have finally gotten back into, as my head is all blocked up and it is probably due to this mess (shouldn't say probably, should say definitely!)

I had a casualty, though, the cat got all excited and jumped up to the desk- to knock over my favourite cup! Lots of wet papers on the floor.

I knocked my own tea cup over later that night, so maybe cleaning up isn't such a great idea?

Maybe I will regret an extra post at the end of the month...maybe not and I have it stored up for the end of month....

Either way I have to show off 2 newbies- a 'back to school' hair tie, complete with Little Miss's favourite button

btw it was kept in the 'special box' for the first day, to be worn on the second day only (?)

and my apple brooch, which was actually a swing tag off a dress, and embellished by me. I love that my cat did the jump in the photo! I love you too, Acie-rama.

Day 5

Ahem, sorry, got distracted with how funny the word looks!

Anyway, I am a huge fan and if I ever have to move, I'll have to allow a whole day and a truck just to move the books! I'm usually not that bad at remembering where I see things, lately fatigue and busyness has left me a bit absentminded, so I can only give you the link:
