Another weekend draws to a close....

Well, another jam packed weekend, with lots of cool stuff done, and jamming heaps in. After a huge cleaning up session, Little Miss and I hosted the Thornbury Craft Bonanza at our house yesterday, where we crafted and chatted with all the best bloggers of course (haha).
Little Miss had the best time, and even scored a little pressie off Tinniegirl- it hasn't left her side, and is in her pj pocket as she sleeps!

Sunday morning saw us in the city bright and early (before Clegs or Lincraft were even open! Thanks to this great blog, I'd found out about the State Library' free activities, and we went to the Storytelling, learning about Batman, Ned Kelly and Freddo Frogs. Don't ask!

It was interactive and energetic, lots of stairs and the kids adored it. Head over here to find out more things on.

After that, we headed to our favourite Yum Cha, Shark Fin, for late lunch. I was asked four times by the same little person why there were so many Chinese people in there! And it was actually about 50/50 when we were there. A bit cultural discussion ensued, few, I was tired.

We managed to get back to Clegs (beautiful stuff) and Lincraft (city store amazing, so much craft stuff!). Yarn sales at both, but be warned they don't open until 11am and 12noon respectively on a Sunday. Officeworks also came up with the goods- my $3.99 vintage Dymo labeller has moved into the 00"s with funky new tape! They still have the standard blue, red and bottle green, but why would you? The clear is cool, too.

Can you believe it? I forgot about the Designers Market on in Fed Square boohoo. But as I nearly fell asleep on the train home (5 stops) I needed my Nana nap when I got home. Next time.

I'm so bummed that I missed the craft bonanza. What did you make?

How amazingly beautiful is the reading room at the State Library? Sounds like you have been very busy.
