It's all about me!

Ooh, getting excited only 6 sleeps till a whole weekend of sewing at Sewjourn. As I should be gathering projects to take, I was a bit naughty and started something new- but finished it at least! It's my new sewing tote! I used a piece of Inkjet Canvas, and printed the little girls picture of herself as a guinea pig, which I then covered with vinyl.

Some vintage sheeting for a lining....

and a matching purse for things and stuff (very important things and stuff, aren't they?)

Inspiration was from here and here. Thank you!

And another little bag, pre made, was embellished.

Phew, better go sort out those projects for Sewjourn
!

LOVE LOVE LOVE your bag. Your girl's print on the front is gorgeous and the vintage sheet lining is a great idea. No wonder you couldn't wait to get it started... and finished!

Love the bag too!!
Do you have any issues sewing the vinyl with a regular sewing machine? Does it do the machine any damage?
Any tips?
Andi :-)

Wow. I wholeheartedly endorse your craft procrastination if it means you churn out great stuff like this! Sometimes you just get an idea that you need to run with, hey?
Ta for 'craftstipation' comments too... I've had so much great advice, I'll post it up sometime today. Hurrah!

Oh I love it. It's sensational. Looks a great size too. I'll look forward to checking it out on the weekend.

I can't wait for Friday to arrive. What time are you heading up?

Hey! I have those same green floral sheets! Straight off my childhood bed. Are you cleaned up and packed yet???? I'm off the weekend after next with a group from my course. Not sewjourn - too small for us and also not available. And I haven't sent that crochet pattern book because I never got your address! Glad to hear it still has a home to go to. I thought you musn't have wanted it. Let me know and I'll pop it in the mail next week. (Did you email me from my site??? Strange)
