So now I've made my second one, I thought I'd better rave about my new favourite pattern. It is going down in history as the most expensive pattern I've ever bought, but I already realize the quality and expertise behind it!
WORTH. EVERY. PENNY!
So, what's so good about it?
Super easy placket.
No interfacing.
Easy gathering (I used my shirring elastic again)
Sizing is perfect- I made an XL with no adjustments at all.
I used this crinkle fabric from the stash for the first one; the only trouble was pressing
the seams and making sure I didn't iron out the crinkles!
The second one is in $4 a metre Spotlight cotton; I used about 1.2m, a bit of a bargain!
I love the spots! I didn't try them on, but will try and snap some of me wearing it- they'll high on rotation in my work wardrobe. I've worn the first one and got a compliment straight away!

Woah! I just took a look and that is an expensive pattern. The tops look great though, and when you consider the bargain fabric, and the fact that you've already made two, then I guess it works out alright. I do want to see you come back and model them properly though.
They both look great!!
Fantastic Bec!
Love both of these - great for work!x
Both look lovely, very classy looking.
oh i love the spots! such a great pattern :D
both tops turned out lovely! i especially like the pink one :) that pattern is quite expensive, but looks like you are getting good use out of it :)
Funny that you posted this today, I just looked through the patterns on this site... you've done a great job with them. I love the dotty one particularly! :)
I've read about this one a few times and when I went to buy the pattern it was out of print.
Sounds like a good one though - the tops are great Bec - I too am in love with the spotty one.
Modelled shots please ma'am!
Your tops look wonderful... I am thinking that I must invest in this pattern... the cheaper printable one anyway :)
